Chess Club will meet TODAY, Thursday, 12/11. Meeting will run from 3:20-4:00 p.m. in Mr. Kirk’s room, 700. The Builder's Club will meet tomorrow, Friday, Dec 12th and take a bus to Byron City Hall to volunteer at People Helping People. Meet in the theater lobby for the 3:00 bus. We will be finished at 4:15 and students can be picked up at City Hall.
This is to inform you of an unavoidable change to our scheduled ski trip to Chestnut Mountain that was set for TOMORROW, FRIDAY, December 12th.
Chestnut Mountain has notified us that, due to an unforeseen staff shortage, they will be closing the mountain early at 6:00 PM on December 12th. This significantly impacts our planned itinerary, as we would lose a substantial amount of skiing time.
New Trip Date
To ensure the students have a full and enjoyable experience, we have successfully rescheduled the ski trip for Friday, January 9th.
What This Means for Registered Students
-Existing Registration: All current registrations and payments will be automatically transferred and remain valid for the January 9th trip date.
-Refunds: If your student is unable to attend the new January 9th date, a full refund will be issued. Please see Mrs. Lawver in the office.
New Registration Deadline
For any students who have not yet signed up but wish to attend the new January 9th date, the new registration deadline will be Friday, December 19th.
We understand that a date change can be inconvenient and sincerely apologize for any disruption this may cause your family. The High School Choir Department needs assistance with their Madrigal Dinner this year. They are looking for students to help with serving meals THIS Sunday, December 14th from 1:00 - 4:30. If interested in helping, please email Mr. Jaworowski.

Sign up for teen programs at the Byron Public Library! Register Gingerbread House Contest (TODAY, Thursday, Dec. 11th), The Nightmare Before Christmas movie matinee (Monday, Dec. 22nd) and Smash Bros. Switch Tournament (Monday, Dec. 29th) on the library website.
Registration is open for Girls Basketball and Byron Middle School Wrestling (6th through 8th grades).
PARTICIPANT REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS – 2025-26
1. Log on to: https://byron.8to18.com , Snap! Manage site.
2. Create an account (continue to next step if you’ve created an account in the system previously).
3. Log in to your account & click Begin Registration to follow prompts. You will need to Add Participant’s Name & ID # on initial login. If ID is unknown, please enter 1111 temporarily.
4. Select the Activity being registered for. Complete all required fields & click Save.
5. On the next screen, you may upload your completed Physical Examination Form, or you must print out & complete the Physical Form, and have it signed & dated where indicated by the student, parent/guardian, & physician performing the exam.
6. Acknowledge all required documents have been read & accepted by BOTH the student and the parent/guardian. Click Next. If both boxes are not checked, you will not be allowed to continue.
7. On the Registration Summary screen, click the “Submit” button. You will receive a confirmation email from no-reply@8to18.com. This is open to any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader.
