Next week is busy for FFA. There is a meeting on Tuesday Feb 25th 3:00 – 4:00 pm; a Food Science contest on Wednesday Feb 26th, and Middle School Mania on Thursday Feb 27th. The Middle School Mania is an all day field trip and requires pre-approval to attend. See Ms. Folk asap for details or to RSVP.

Student Council members: If you missed the Tuesday morning meeting, see Mrs. Heather for convention and workshop paperwork. Convention paperwork is due TODAY, Friday 2/21 and Workshop paperwork is due Friday 2/28.

Builder’s Club week is next week, students at Byron Middle School are invited to share in dress up days to celebrate: Monday-Hat day; Tuesday-Crazy Socks; Wednesday-Wear Blue; Thursday: PJ Day!

Sign up for teen programs at the Byron Public Library! Register for D&D (on Wednesdays), Learn How to Design a D&D Campaign (Thursday, March 6th), Volunteens (Monday, March 10th), Chess Horizons (Tuesday, March 11th) and Painted Pot Kit with Plants (Monday, March 24th) on the library website.

The next Art Club meeting will be Wednesday, February 26th from 3:00-4:00 in the art room. Please sign up in the office if you would like to attend. All students are welcome.

We are excited to announce that registration for the upcoming boys and girls track season is now open!

This is a fantastic opportunity for students to stay active, develop their athletic skills, and be part of a team environment. Registration info:

1.Log on to: https://byron.8to18.com, Snap! Manage site.

2. Create an account (continue to next step if you’ve created an account in the system previously).

3. Log in to your account & click Begin Registration to follow prompts. You will need to Add Participant’s Name & ID # on initial login. If ID is unknown, please enter 1111 temporarily.

4. Select the Activity being registered for. Complete all required fields & click Save.

5. On the next screen, you may upload your completed Physical Examination Form, or you must print out & complete the Physical Form, and have it signed & dated where indicated by the student, parent/guardian, & physician performing the exam.

6. Acknowledge all required documents have been read & accepted by BOTH the student and the parent/guardian. Click Next. If both boxes are not checked, you will not be allowed to continue.

7. On the Registration Summary screen, click the “Submit” button. You will receive a confirmation email from

Winter running club will be running Monday Feb 24 at 3:15. This is open to anyone who wants to run and start conditioning before the track season. Make sure you bring layers, your running shoes, hats and gloves. See Mrs Haas for details or join the xc SportsYou for weekly running announcements. (JRQXLWHJ is the join code.) We are done between 3:45 and 4:00 and parents will need to pick you up. We don't run on the same day every week due to weather changes so join the SportsYou to find out when we're running.

The February 5th girls basketball games that were cancelled due to weather against Pecatonica have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 27th. 7th graders play at 4:00 p.m. and 8th graders play at 5:00.

6th grade (black) will play at Pecatonica Middle School at 4:00 p.m. on February 27th.
