Chess Club membership is available to all middle school students. You do not need to attend every meeting to be part of Chess Club. Our next meeting is TODAY, Wednesday, 2/5. We will meet in room 708 for 3:20-4:00 p.m. Students go meeting with a teacher after school are 0welcome to report by 3:00 PM. The 4:00 bus is available if needed. The next Outdoor Adventure Club trip is Downhill Skiing at Chestnut Mountain in Galena, Illinois on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 12:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Registration is now closed for this trip.

Participate in the Byron Public Library's Winter Reading Challenge by reading five books and/or attending teen programs in January and February. Two winners will be chosen, each of whom will win a $50 Amazon card. Register through byron.beanstack.org or see Nancy for details.
Byron Middle School 8th grade promotion date has been announced. It will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. in the BYRON HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM.
