#BeTheLight & IHSA #LightsForTheFight – Tonight (4/17) The Byron CUSD will be supporting the national #BeTheLight movement, which is currently sweeping the nation. This movement began as a means to support high school students/seniors who have lost sports seasons, and it continues to grow in scope.

SCHOOL CLOSED

The Byron community Unit School District will be closed for the remainder of the school year by order of Governor Pritzker.

During this trying time, I wanted to reach out to the BHS community and share some good news! We are proud to announce the winners of the Sons & Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship from Byron High School!!

District Food Service During School Closure

Daily Lunches -
The Byron Community Unit School District will be providing meals for students throughout the mandatory school closings. Daily sack lunches (sandwich, fruit, veggie and milk) will be made available for all students who need them. We will be providing a “drive up” service in front of Mary Morgan Elementary School. Students of all ages may receive sack lunches from 9:00 am – 10:00 am at either location. If you have extenuating circumstances, please reach out to your child’s building principal or Byron Food Service Director Mrs. Tania VanBriesen at 815-234-5491 (274) or at TVanBriesen@byron226.org
