Who can join the FFA Alumni and why should you consider joining?
Parents, friends, supporters, past FFA members-anyone wanting to support FFA, agricultural education and agriculture is welcome to join the alumni.
FFA chapters and members across the country and here in Byron rely on Alumni volunteers to help support their chapters through the gift of time, talent and resources. You can give back your skills in the Byron Chapter by supporting our members as they complete Supervised Agricultural Education (SAE) projects and Career Development Events (CDE). Your membership in the local chapter also helps support our scholarship efforts. The Byron Alumni awards a $1000 scholarship to a Byron graduate pursuing a career in Agriculture or an Ag related field.
Support our chapter by joining. You can be involved as little or as much as you like. Your membership fees would support the scholarship. You will placed on the email list. Whether you are able to come to meetings or not you will get our minutes and schedule so you will know what is happening in the Byron Chapter. You will also receive monthly communications from the National FFA organization and National FFA Alumni Association. co Do you want to be more involved? come to our meetings they are the first Sunday of every month in the AG classroom at the High school. There are also volunteer opportunities for those interested in supporting students participating in SAE and CDEs.
And lastly by joining the alumni you get the priceless feeling of giving back to make a difference in the lives of youth.
