On Friday, these BHS students volunteered their time to assist with the Gold Star 500 Endurance Cycling Event, which made a rest stop at the Byron Fire Protection District Station.  Cyclists rode 125 miles each day over the course of 4 days.  The event honors the service and sacrifice of nearly 300 service men and women from Illinois who gave their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan and helps raise funds for Gold Star Families.
