The Byron High School Choir recently participated in the music State Series, achieving 3rd place in the IHSA solo and ensemble contest, marking only the 2nd time in Byron's history. Despite this being their second time placing third, they have consistently ranked within the top 8 for the past decade. Just like sports competitions, the music teams compete in the IHSA state series within their class size, with their performances rated and compared instantly online. Congrats to the following students that participated: Gavin Abate, Gabe Oswald, Dillila Palacios, Adalyn Waldschmidt, Alayna Brandt, Alexa Nolan, Armani Paulino, Emi Bail, Jolie Corkran, Maison Brandt, Eva Clark, Gina Baker, Jacob Lawver, Lila Morehead, Eva Bradford, Jessica Penrod, Nick Drake, Myla Draheim, Lillian Nogaj, LeAnn Moore, Leeo Rising, Jack Jenniges, Jayce Keesee.

The team had 37 entries receive Division 1 (Superior), 9 Division 2 (Excellent), and 2 Division 3 (Good) ratings.

We had one Best of the Day award for Jacob Lawver & Gina Baker duet.

 Gina Baker and Lila Morehead received a perfect score for their duet.

 Adalyn Waldschmidt, Emi Bail, and Maison Brandt received a perfect score for their solos.
